We are wanting to buy 5 acres. Right next door is 9 acres that the
electric company in South Carolina rents for a sub station. I called
them and the guy said it is not a typical sub station. He said most
sub stations are stepdown regulators and have high voltage with a
fence around them. He said this is the last one on the island and
it's more of a regulator that raises and lowers voltage..he said the
highest it is is 23KV.. I have to let them know tomorrow if I want
the land as others are wanting it. Would you be afraid to live by
