The EM-Ormus group is about EM and its various ormus-like and spiritual properties, including its apparent ability to enhance ormus and bio-convert minerals to ormus or monatomic (aka monoatomic) form. Ormus is sometimes called ORMES. This group is not in competition with EM-Health or EM-Ag list groups, and instead, we encourage you to join each group. The term EM indicates a culture of synergistic bacteria known as effective microrganisms, efficient microbes, beneficial microorganisms (BM), Beneficial and Efficient Microbes (BEM) and Compound Microorganisms (CM), originally discovered by Japanese horticulture professor Teruo Higa at Univ. of Ryukus. Dr. Higa has since given the technology freely to the world. The culture will work in both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. Especially if used in anaerobic conditions, it has powerful antioxidative, regenerative and toxin remediation powers, and seems to have strange ormus effects. Many feel that it converts minerals to ormus form.
Vinny Pinto, a well known researcher in EM, has agreed to join this group and to be an active member as is needed.

List ownership was transferred to Vinny Pinto in late May 2004. Vinny is a degreed scientist who is an EM researcher, and who uses EM for his chickens, ducks and other birds, and also researches use of EM fermented antioxidant products as a nutritional supplement.
