This list is a support list for parents of children who are dyslexic. The lists purpose is to be a resource for those parents as they set out to help their child/children be successful in every area of their lives that dyslexia touches. It is a place to share ideas and exchange ways of helping. My hope is that this list will be a place that will be a refuge for parents as they navigate the maze of various therapies, treatments, special ed. departments, school personel, methods of education for both their child and themselves, and the emotions that a child who is dyslexic may deal with periodically. Hopefully this can also be a place where professionals who work with dyslexia can come and provide tips.

It is expected that every poster on the list will be polite, kind, and respectful to all other posters. Various therapies will not be negated or disregarded as we all know that everyone is different and what works for one person may not work for another. Experiences can and should be shared in a respectful manner.

If a debate should arise the particpating members will be referred to the dyslexia debate list at dyslexiadebate@yahoogroups.com in order to keep the spirit of encouragement alive and thriving on this forum.
