first to all who have answered, thank you for your time.
Elizabeth,
as far as the dmd goes we have been told to do nothing specific, we do physical therapy three times a week, OT two times a week at school and I take him to the pool once a week, i am not sure what the proper term is but he is with a therapist who works hands on in the pool with him. I don't know if it is the fact that he has been having therapy since he was two years old or just thanking the lord, but i believe it is his spirit that he doesn't need any other drugs or things to assisst him, yet. Although his physical therapist directed me to see about orthotic inserts for him, he is flat footed and had started to complain of some pain in his feet.
again thanks to all for responding and god bless

Hi Scott and Felicia,
Welcome to the group! We have a son who is 22. If I remember correctly we saw the neurologist every 6 months when he was that age. Does your son wear afo's? (ankle foot orthodontics)

we are scott and felicia parents to a six year old diagnosed with dmd
last march. thanks for starting this group better than the last one.
have a question, why would a doctor have a follow up of 18 months for
a dmd patient? Seems like an awfully long time. any answers or
opinions would be appreciated.
