First of all, I'd like to thank Mark for inviting me to join this new
group. All the best information I've ever gotten about DMD has come
from groups such as this one. Knowing Mark, I know this group will
turn into the best it can possibly be!!

I do recognize some names from other groups I belong to, but there are
many here that I don't know. I was hoping everyone might take a
minute and introduce themselves so we can all know each other a little
better.

I am Theresa but go by T. I have the good fortune (most days LOL) of
sharing my home with my sweetie, Dustin (8 year) and our "fearless
leader" Mark (pushing 2 years!) We live in western MT with our 6 Pugs.
We are all active in politics and disability advocacy. Currently
Dustin is running for a state legislative seat. We spend so much time
at the Capitol during legislative sessions he figured he may as well
have a real say in what's going on! I have learned so much over the
past 8 years in dealing with the inevitable progression of this
disease and all that comes with it. The two biggest things I've
learned though, are that medical professionals definitely don't know
everything.. ..and that none of us in this household are "heroes" or
"angels". We just do what we do and live our lives the best we can.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone on the group and to a long and
successful life to Duchenne_MD_ Support.
