A few months ago I had protein in my urine, the doctor put me on
blood presure medicine hoping this would solve the problem. I just
had a second urine screen and still had protein. They had me do the
24 hour urine test, still shows too much protein in my urine. Now
they are sending me to a kidney specialist for more tests. I'm
scared I don't know what this means. Does this mean I already have
kidney disease or could it be something simple. There is no history
of kidney disease in my family. I don't nor have I ever done drugs.
I only take over the counter sinus medicine and tylenol or Motrin
etc for headaches. Could this be some sort of infection? Can anyone
help or has anyone had similar problems. Is there anything I can
change in my diet? I understand this can be a problem with diabetics
but I am not a diabetic. Please what are some of the causes of too
much protein in urine? I can't get any straight answers from my
doctor and can't find anything online.
