I agree w your last post. The thing M.D.s are the very
most competent at is scaring the client into signing for
their [only authorized] treatment. They are better than
lawyers, used car dealers, et al & the best defense is
knowledge. They almost never take a 'systems level
viewpoint' - will it help the pt, is it within their
means, does it fix the cause - or just chop off the wire
to their warning light.
