This is the first time that I have sent a message to this group. So,
I apologise if I am
asking things that have already been covered previously.
I had my gallbladder removed twelve years ago and was assured by the
surgeon that it
would solve all my problems. Sorry, to Gina I don't want to spoil any
optimism you may
feel, but it didn't give me my old life back. I built up again until
two years ago the
pain was again so bad that I was driven to go back to the doctor. But,
I just could not
face going through all that again.
I used a grapefruit and olive oil flush very sucessfully, but the
stones kept coming back.
(I should mention at this point that it makes me really mad when I
keep being told to cut
down on my fat, as this is causing the problem, I must be the only
person who actually
prefers skimmed milk, hates cheese and cream, eats v. little meat
with no fat on- you may
be getting the picture, so , I say this to the doctor/nurse etc., and
they say it must be
genetic then!!! what a cop out that phrase is. That means they have
no idea why you keep
getting stones). RANT, RANT!!
Then, I read an article on the net (I just love the net), it was from
1949, suggesting
that a huge variety of digestive problems, are caused by food
intolerances.(Sorry, if this
has come up before). So, I tried eliminating small groups of food at
a time, while taking
a very good multivitamin. It has taken me nearly 18 months to track
down some of them ,
but I can't tolerate wheat, eggs, onions, tomatoes, pork, lamb and a
few other things just
give me a bit of indigestion. I still feel that I have one more to
find as my daily pain
level is barely noticeable, but not quite gone.
Has anyone had a similar experience or any ideas,I am going to try
the other cereals next
I think.
Good, luck Gina, with your op. I believe they always do the keyhole
surgery now, which is
a lot easier to recover from.
Bye from
Jane.
