Richard,
I have heard of quite a few people being cured of cancer by changing
their
diet to raw foods and juices. The Gerson Institute www.gerson.org can
probably give you information on this. One name that comes to mind of
someone cured of colon cancer is Reverend George Malkmus, who was
diagnosed
with colon cancer some 20 years ago and cured it with carrot juice
and raw
foods (no surgery or other conventional treatment). He now promotes
what he
calls the Hallelujah Diet, which is something like 85% raw foods.
But I
think he probably advocates 100% raw while you are getting rid of your
cancer. You can read his whole story, and other testimonials, at
www.hacres.com. They have a national network of folks who go back to
his
church and learn about his diet and then become "health minister."
They
have a Christian orientation, which you can of course ignore if you
want,
although some kind of spiritual or at least positive mental attitude
is
certainly very important.
I experienced my own cancer cure of sorts about 3 1/2 years ago,
shortly
after I started a raw food diet. About three months into it (maybe
95% raw)
I experienced blood in my urine. I didn't go to a doctor at first,
hoping
it would go away. It did, then a couple of weeks later it came back,
only
this time something inside of me broke loose and along with blood it
came
out while I was urinating. It was a spongy thing, 2 or 3 inches
wide. I
put it in the freezer until I could take it to a doctor. The
immediate
effect was that my urine flow was stronger than it had been in
years. This
thing evidently had been constricting the flow. The doctor said it
was a
polyp from my bladder. He sent it to a lab for analysis. Later he
called
me to say the lab said it was cancerous, second degree (or stage 2,
maybe).
He wanted me to see a urologist. I didn't want to do that. Instead,
reasoning that my raw foods and fasting (I did a couple of short
fasts, 1 or
2 day, in that three-month period) had caused my body to eject the
polyp, I
increased my raw food percentage to 100%, bought the best juicer I
could
find, started drinking lots of fresh vegetable juice every day,
getting more
exercise, more sleep, sunlight, generally trying to take things
easier.
After about four months or so I decided to go to the urologist to get
tested, because even though I felt OK, I was worried that maybe
cancer was
eating away at my bladder. The tests he did (cystoscopy, IV
pyelogram)
showed me to be completely cancer free.
Dr. Richard Schulze tells stories about patients of his who have gone
on his
program, patients with cancerous colon polyps who were told they
needed
operations immediately. After going on raw foods, juices, herbs, and
some
of the other stuff he teaches, they went back to the docs and the
polyps
were dissolving or falling off. They didn't need surgery anymore.
You can
get Schulze's info at 1-800-HERBDOC. Dr. Lloraine Day teaches similar
methods. She cured herself of breast cancer using methods like
this. Her
website is www.drday.com.
I hope this helps. Most people think raw foods is too hard, but
there are
lots of books and Internet groups (such as the Rawlife group at
www.rawtimes.com) that help with this now. I have heard from a few
women
on the Rawlife list who have cured their breast cancer with this
diet. Many
cities even have groups that hold regular potlucks and educational
meetings.
If nothing else, your daughter should get off animal products and all
cooked
fats, as well as processed junk food.
Hope this helps. I wish all the best for you and your daughter.
Mark
