Rebecca, Thank you for your reply. Since Hallowell doesn't take any kind of insurance we cannot afford to have our son tested.
I would like you to look on the internet about miracle belt. Just go to miracle belt . I have heard that it works really well or ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia etc. I have a friend who said it has worked wonders on a relative of hers.
So far Dore and the i pod has helped but our son still has quite a ways to go to be up to par on his math, reading and spelling. He still has trouble with running. He still has trouble and doesn't like it. He has been working on the Dore program 2 years and 2 months. I still don't want to give up and I don't want to put him on drugs as the Dr. and childrens hospital suggested.

Hi Norma,
I wish Hallowell did take medicade or any kind of insurance but they do not. Feel free to phone me to discuss further. I am pretty sure your unit only has the 5 protocols but how you check is if your unit has 2 different optimal proformance protools. I believe it say optimal proformance I and optimal profromance II.
We were just trained on this really cool reading program. They say it is the top of the paramid meaning when you are done with Dore and listening then you would want to try it. I can't wait to start my son on it and see how he does. It was really amazing to see how bad I did on the testing. Since Dore and listening I can read better but I still hate it. In this testing it tracks how you read and where your eyes go if you skip around, if you read and re-read a line and how long you fixate on each word.
More on the reading program as we figure it all out.
Hope all is well with all of you,
xo Rebecca

Rebecca,
Does Dore take medicad for payment for testing? We would like to have Tait tested to see how far he has advanced and what other programs he needs to listen to etc. Would it be better if I phoned you to discuss this. Also how do I check how many protocols we have in our I-Pod.
