| You are right. The Dore closing did delay things for a lot of people. And it is hard. But it isn't the hardest thing our kids will have to do in life. Not by a long shot. And it is a character builder if you approach it the right way. Still I can understand you are tired. If you stop now you will certainly have some benefit from all the work you have done but not all you can have. The issues we face with these kinds of learning difficulties are DEVELOPMENTAL issues as well as Neurological issues. The more we stimulate and exercise the more the development will happen. The resistance shows that the immature brain is in need of further development. It happens more slowly and with more difficulty for some than others that is the sad, unfair and real part. But anything that is worth achieving is worth working for. There are easier protocols like My Sensory
Solutions or Lens neurofeedback and they are effective perhaps you can transition to one of these but remember- there are chemicals that help development in the brain that only movement and exercise can release there. (Read the book "Spark" by Dr John Radey.) That is why the combination of Dore and one of these other protocols is the ideal. It doesn't matter if you do Dore before one of the others, during or after. Still even if you do nothing else, many people do Dore and when the stimulation stops and the pathways rest a bit and all of a sudden the changes happen. Perhaps you will be one of those. Perhaps a rest is what you need. Listen to your gut on this and good luck with whatever you do. Olga --- On Wed, 5/20/09, Kim Flynn <kflynn18@...> wrote:
