Re: [DoreProgram] Re:Anyone Out There Still On Dore?

Sometimes mental tasks are given and the person isn't quite ready. So we do a trial with mental tasks and if its difficult that's OK. Most people find it so and they may even have a little regression both in test results and behavior. The brain is saying "ouch, I'm not use to this." In fact its also a partial (demolition since things are breaking down so that they can be built up like muscles that are being tried for the first time, but never fear if you keep working them the pathways will recover and get stronger that is why we call it recontruction.) If the regression is significant or if mental tasks are just impossible the automaticity is not quite there yet so we try another round without mental tasks then add them on the next session. People are usually ready by then. Its all routine and one need not worry if there is a little temporary regression (reconstruction) sometimes since that is another sign that things are changing. One thought I had re-reading about the difficulty after starting
mental tasks...and the one response that it may be because it is new
and harder. I don't know that it is too common (It didn't sound like
it when we encountered it), but the session after my daughter
was "approved" for mental exercizes, her results were much worse and
they had someone in the UK look at the results and came back, telling
us to stop mental exercizes until she was "approved" again. I think
it was the next assessment that they were added again and that time
round was better. They ended up saying that she just wasn't quite
strong enough without the mental. Just thought I'd mention it since
you sound like you do not have assessments available. I guess you
will have to assess as best you can. I would have to say that though
I was happy to "qualify" for mental, because it meant the end was
nearer and my daughter was disappointed to be "off" mental since it
meant she wasn't getting done as soon as she had started hoping, I
think it helped her and also made her appreciate doing them without
the mental, so that she actually did them better.

Remembering when they couldn't do something and getting excited about
the the things that have improved is a good suggestion.

Best to all,

Anastasia

Dore is easier and takes less time. We have been reading all kinds of
studies about the use of music in healing (chronic pain, depression,
tinitus, parkinsons and more) and one for Parkinsons was particularly
interesting to me. People with Parkinsons are not able to tell their
body to do what they want it to do a times. But when they put on
music in these special movement sessions they can move to the music.
They can do wonderful moves that they normally cannot. The movement
of course helps their brains and their condition. Many people have
found that they jog further or workout better when they listen to
music. It is true. The music is changed in the inner ear (the coclia
and the organ of corti) into nerve impulse or brain (body)
electricity (energy). Higher pitches more energy lower more soothing
or body awareness. It is
> quite remarkable how music affects the nervous system or as I
think Shakespere said, "Music hath power to sooth the savage beast"
or the contrary child. That is why exersise and music (especially
treated music and directed exercise) are such a win win situation.
