Re: [DoreProgram] Re:Anyone Out There Still On Dore?
The special music in MY Sensory Solutions and the Dore exercise are a great combination and you may find if you do them together that Dore is easier and takes less time. We have been reading all kinds of studies about the use of music in healing (chronic pain, depression, tinitus, parkinsons and more) and one for Parkinsons was particularly interesting to me. People with Parkinsons are not able to tell their body to do what they want it to do a times. But when they put on music in these special movement sessions they can move to the music. They can do wonderful moves that they normally cannot. The movement of course helps their brains and their condition. Many people have found that they jog further or workout better when they listen to music. It is true. The music is changed in the inner ear (the coclia and the organ of corti) into nerve impulse or brain
(body) electricity (energy). Higher pitches more energy lower more soothing or body awareness. It is quite remarkable how music affects the nervous system or as I think Shakespere said, "Music hath power to sooth the savage beast" or the contrary child. That is why exersise and music (especially treated music and directed exercise) are such a win win situation. Olga

Hi Kim,
Yes, we are also still doing Dore. It will probably kill me but I still have
My daughter do it everyday, and it is never easy. We also just ordered
The home unit for My Sensory Solutions also so I am excited to do that
Along with Dore. I am hoping that will give us the extra boost to keep on
Going. We have been on the program for a year also.
Hang in there, it¢s not easy on us but it¢s going to make a difference
Is anyone besides Rebecca still out there? It is a real downer that this group does not seem to be up and running with the communication and support everyone...
DoreTalk is still active Kim, and funnily enough there is a recent posting about this very question. http://doretalk.com/forums/p/1185/6367.aspx#6367 Chris....
The end is the hardest part since there is the tedium factor. But you knew this was a marathon when you started. It helped me to use the analogy of the...

Still here, not Doring anymore though. What you are describing is exactly what we went through with our son. He was HORRIBLE about doing his exercises, but we...

I was just thinking about all of you and am so glad to read that we are still a group -- of sorts. My almost 14 year old son is in his 16th month of Dore and...
If he has just started a higher level of exercise or mental tasks it could well be a "reconstruction"that is making him crabby. This sometimes creates a little...

One thought I had re-reading about the difficulty after starting mental tasks...and the one response that it may be because it is new and harder. I don't know...
Sometimes mental tasks are given and the person isn't quite ready. So we do a trial with mental tasks and if its difficult that's OK. Most people find it so...
