RE: [Dercums_Disease] Doctor Writing a Research Grant...

Hey Dora! I will be seeing my PCP next Wednesday, and she is in the same clinic as an Endo, I want to see. If she thinks he can help me better than she can, then she’ll have no problem referring me to him. I am definitely going to bring up the painful lumps, and fat to both of them, but I was thinking maybe the Endo might be interested in contacting the one you talked to, and her research? I am going in to discuss my suspicion about me having Adrenal Fatigue, and I want ALL my hormones tested again. Let me know if I can give my Endo your Endo’s name and phone number if mine seems interested.

This is GREAT news you have! J

Hugs, Jackie

Subject: [Dercums_Disease] Doctor Writing a Research Grant...

Greetings!

I had a long conversation with a doctor from San Diego, California, yesterday. She is an endocrinologist interested in studying fat tissue samples. She has been talking with Jenny about Madelung's Disease. She and I discussed expanding the grant she was writing so that it would include Dercum's Disease. When I know more, I will let you all know.

If you are going to be having surgery to remove fatty tumors/lipomas, please let me know. I will check with her to see if she is ready to receive tissue samples. Thus far, she has collected tissue samples from removal by liposuction, and from surgical excisions.

Be well and take care. Use your spoons wisely.

Peace,
--
