Bad experience!   Message List

Hi group,

I had a really BAD experience last night. We went to a church
dinner, and one man came up behind me and started forcibly massaging
the back of my neck and shoulders! I pulled away and asked him to
stop, figuring he had forgotten that I can be very tender in places.
A few minutes later he came back and started again! I kept yelling
for him to stop, and he kept on, and said "Oh, that can't hurt, how
about over HERE...and HERE..." Finally Ron saw what was happening
and came to my rescue, but this guy just couldn't believe that I
could be in so much pain. I wanted to cause him some pain (in "les
boules"), believe me! We had to leave as it had set off such a round
of spasms that I couldn't stand to sit there any longer.

I hate this! I have always loved hugging and being hugged, and now I
have to constantly be on guard against people like him. In the past
few days, besides this, I have had the backs of my upper arms
grabbed, my upper arm punched, and my arms grabbed in other places.
Why can't people just gently touch you without grabbing!

Well, just had to blow off some steam. I spoke to his wife this
morning, and she apologized (he had gone back to Ohio where he lives
during the week.) She knows how I hurt, it's just the others.

Hope you're all having a pleasant weekend. We have gone from 40's to
80's--cool and dry to hot and humid. Ack and double ack!!

Judi

Dear Teddy, That's not a bad idea, wearing a sign to tell people to back off. It's not the hugs that are the worst, it's the people who come up behind me and...

Dora, A t-shirt isn't a bad idea, but I doubt that people would take the time to read it before they start grabbing. I've learned when at the bowling center,...
