My temporary dentures were like that also. But after the six month wait I then
got my permanent dentures and food does not get stuck anywhere. They fit very
snuggly. I use just the tinest bit of denture adhesive on the bottom and top and
they do not move at all. I can bit into anything. So hang in there you will be
very pleased with how well the permanent ones will fit.

I had all my upper teeth extracted and received an immediate denture.
Next week I will return for the bottom half. The uppers fit horribly
and we will be making new ones. But my question is this: When the
dentures fit properly does food still get jammed inside? Will there
always be the need to rinse them out immediately? Having dinner with
friends and family my mouth is very uncomfortable with the feel of
food on my dentures and also (the worst) having to leave the table
right away to take out my denture and rinse the food stuck between the
denture and the roof of my mouth. Is this normal? I know a better
fit should correct it somewhat but will there always be that
discomfort of food lodged?
