Hi Everyone;
I am so glad to have found this site. Reading all the posts has
really helped me to understand alot about dentures. I am in the
process of getting teeth extracted. I had 6 taken out 2 weeks ago and
will get the final 8 taken out tomorrow afternoon. The dentist
recommended I get an immediate denture (for the top). I loved the
idea but never really asked him any questions. After reading the posts
I see that everyone is saying they do impressions before they make the
immediate denture. I haven't had any impressions taken and am
scheduled to have the last extractions tomorrow. Do they have to do
impressions for an immediate denture or do they just have standard
ones kind of one size fits all in the drawer? I know it sounds silly
but my dentist seems very compitent and I can't imagine him telling me
that he forgot to take impressions. Mt appointment is for 1 1/2
hours, is that enough time to pull the teeth and make a denture? Any
help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Char
