I am really glad you had a good appointment- sounds like he is
working hard to get things right for you. I take you will be without
your lower teeth for the weekend- unfortunately, we become very
dependent on two pieces of pink and white plastic. I am not sure I
understood what you wrote about him taking the molars out and using
wax to get a good bite impression- do you mean he will remove teeth
from your denture and then work on the bite or do you still have
some natural teeth left?
Hopefully after he takes the stitches out he will evaluate you for
a temporary soft liner to take up the space left as the swelling
subsides. This will make the dentures fit much better and not move
so much. As time goes on, you will need this type of attention less
frequently and the use of adhesives will fill the gap but always
state your concerns to the dentist when ever they come up.
