The lower will never fit as well as the upper,but,you must give yourself time to
adjust. For sore gums,try using a soft toothbrush to massage the gums three
times a day. Use 20% benzocaine (rub on the gums) Take an analgesic such as
Percocet or Vicodin every 4-6 hrs as needed. Use a good denture adhesive to keep
the appliance from moving. Rince with warm salt water and keep the mouth and
appliances clean. See your Dentist if soreness percists. Sounds like you may
have bone fragments and they will be absorbed by the body in time. Hope you get
better real soon!
