Re: Dentures

Your dentist should prescribe an antibiotic for you. As for eating,
you must keep your nutrition level up to heal properly. Get products
like ensure and yogurt (smooth), soups and ice cream. Also get some
hard candy to have close at hand to help you cope with the excess
saliva having a new denture in your mouth will cause. Be sure to
write down specific questions for the dentist and ask them before
you under any form of anesthesia, your nerves will be on edge and
you may not understand what he tells you so write the answers down
or better yet, if you are taking a spouse or other companion- have
them keep track of the answers. Just getting numbed should not be
that bad- get bags of frozen peas to use as ice packs- they conform
to the face very well and are reusable.

Best of luck and feel free to stop in and ask questions-

Sandy
