Had my consultation and he went ahead and did my impressions. I will have my
extractions and both uppers and lowers placed on March 9. I love the dentist
(first time I'd seen him) he was so understanding, not judgmental, didn't
talk down to me, answered most of my questions before I even asked them.
Gave me a full print out of everything included in the price, was just
wonderful. I know I will be very nervous when I go in, I need several
surgical extractions (Yuck) but he even agreed, I won't have to be dealing
with the tooth pain and infections and my general health and well being will
be improved. So in some ways, I am looking forward to it.
He told me I could spend tons of money having root canals and crowns, but my
teeth wouldn't maintain the restorations and it would be wasted money which
is what I've tried to get previous dentists to realize. So nice to have a
dentist who is competent and caring and not trying to just make money off of
me.

Hi Pam,
Wishing you luck, sounds like we are kindred spirits, I'm amazed at the
lengths some dentists go to save teeth, how do people do it? Good luck!

I am new here but have been reading for a couple of weeks. I
also have an
appt tomorrow for a consultation. Took me many years to get up the nerve
too. I have very soft enamel, many missing teeth, many broken teeth. Don't
know if any are salvageable, but I have been fed up with having teeth fixed
only to have them fall apart even more. I am nervous too but also hopeful
for it all to go well.
