Re: [Denture_Dentures] Implants

Once you extract a tooth, bone loss occurs rapidly. If you place what they
call an immediate loaded implant into the jaw bone, your system continues to
treat the surrounding area as if there is still a tooth there, so there is no
further bone loss. For someone like me whom already had some issues of bone
loss, this was the best way to proceed. Once the oral surgeon extracted my
teeth, he had a clear picture into the jaw bone and chose the best places
that had the most significant amount of bone, to insert the implants. This is
far less traumatic than having my teeth extracted at one visit and then going
in for yet another surgery in 6 or so months. The implants should take to
the bone within 3 or so months. Then I will be able to snap my denture into a
secure foundation. Rita
