Hello. My name is Kristeena, and I'm 30 years old. I'm a full upper
and lower denture wearer since March 31, when I had 29 teeth extracted.
I realize it has only been 2 1/2 weeks, but I'm having some severe
problems trying to chew. I've been cleared for adhesive, and I always
have my detures pop in the first few minutes. I'm in tears most of
the time over it, I'm tired of eating a balanced diet of semi-solids.
I've also lost 20 lbs since the surgery. The dentist and surgeon are
telling me to be patient. However, the people who I spoke to before
the surgery who have dentures were telling me that they were doing so
much better than I at this time. Am I just being impatient? Is this
normal? I'm going crazy out here. I used to love eating, and now I
dread every meal, every bite. Is there anyone out there who could
give me some advise please?
