sb,
Hi. I was where you are. I was 46 when I had my uppers removed. I have
had no problem with them, and I'm 62 now. I've had the full denture replaced
once in that time because I wore them down with my chewing!! The adhesive I use
has given me the confidence I need to do my job ( I teach) effectively without
worry. I bet you'll do just fine. We're all afraid of the unknown, and, even
though it is different for everybody, we all have similar worries and fears.
This site is a good one for sharing those feelings and for knowing you're not
facing the ordeal alone!! Keep us in the loop!

I've read most of your posts and want to thank you! I am really scared
and from reading here, I can almost convince myself it is not going to
be that bad.
I will be able to keep my bottom teeth but....the top ones have to go.
I have already had the upper back teeth pulled...all healed well.
Tuesday...they take the remaining 9 teeth.
I am 46 years old, female, kind of vain (ok...really vain). I know
logically this is the best way to go, but it is still really scary.
Thanks for letting me vent!
sb
