Introduction: My name is Levi. I am 45 and live in South Louisiana.
I am in Law/Security Enforcement Administration.
Denture History: I had lost a few molars, I had 25 teeth left in my
mouth. My teeth were not that bad to look at ... I still had a nice
smile. But I was unable to eat or drink cold or hot foods and liquids
without pain. Everything had to be room temperature.
I was on a daily diet of 6 to 10 tylenol per day for several weeks,
when, in February 2005, I decided to get a full set of new teeth,
and let Affordable Dentures do the job.
Feb. 21, 2005 - Initial Visit. Dr. S. suggested full lower and upper
dentures. I chose the premium detures package - total $2,700.
Feb 22, 2005 - all 25 teeth extracted. Upper and lower alveoloplasty
performed. Immediate dentures placed and I was out of the dentsts'
office within 4 hours. A buddy from P.D. drove me home.
Note: Due to the excessive Tylenol use of the previous several weeks I
bled for 4 days.
March 1, 2005 - A hole opened on my lower gums. Dr. S. stitched hole
closed.
March 8, 2005 - Stitches out.
March 10, 2005 - Adjustment and soft reline.
March 23, 2005 - Bone fragments removed.
April 7, 2005 - Adjustments and bone fragments removed.
- - Numerous adjustments and relines not recorded - -
February 2006 - New Premium set of dentures... included in initial
costs. (fit much better that original set) A happy camper with new
dentures.
To those of you who are seasoned denture wearers ... this is pretty
much the norm.
To those of you who are new to dentures or have yet to join our ranks,
I want to say : I have NEVER regretted my decision to get dentures and
if faced with the choice all over again, I would not hesitate to make
the same decision again.
A Fellow Denture Wearer....
