Compulsive spending/debting is a disease that has created severe financial hardships for many of us. We know we can't afford it but can't seem to help ourselves. We justify our spending and make excuses for the things we buy, but we feel guilty with each spree because we know the money should have been applied elsewhere. Using the 12 Steps and Traditions (adapted from AA) as our foundation in trying to abstain from unnecessary spending, we can share together and walk the path of recovery arm in arm. This is a progressive disease and it is possible to put our disease into remission one day at a time, by applying the steps and traditions and by sharing our experience, strength and hope. No flaming, please. If you are interested in recovery, please join us on the path. We are here to be of service to each other.
