Hey Abby,
I haven't been around. Been buisy, and ill. But also getting enlightened
and freeing my inner space, so it's all good.
I was wondering, would you be interested in doing a consultation with me?
I have rattly breath and am coughing to keep phlegm from choking me. I
could pay $, also I'd offer a work trade, and would prefer to get the
herbs from you. Let me know. I'll be in Northside tomorrow for forest
gardening study group and farmer's market if you've got some time in the
later afternoon.
love,
Badger

Hey Everyone!
Hope this finds you well. Anyways I just wanted to remind everyone that early
registration for the Heart of Now ends Friday.
If you are planning on attending I would encourage you to register by friday
because otherwise we won't have enough registrants to make it happen. We need a
certain amount for early registration to buy the plane tickets and fly in the
facilitators from Eugene, Or. If we don't reach the minimum we'll be force to
cancel it which would be unfortunate but may be the way the cookie crumbles.
The other good thing about registering by Friday is you'll save 30$ off the
already steal of a deal price for the full weekend.
Anyways, If you are planning to register just shoot me an email and I can
pass along the nitty gritty to get enrolled in this beautiful process.
I'll look forward to hearing from y'all and hopefully seeing your beautiful
faces come August 1st at Imago!
thanks for you time,
peace and many blessings

The Heart of Now is a Top Notch Healing & Empowerment workshop for

Hey Everyone
Just wanted to remind y'all that there will be a Heart of Now Experience night
at my house in Northside,
4261 Kirby Ave
Monday, 6/23 from 7 - around 8:30 pm.
Maggie Sullivan will be traveling in from Bloomington, In. to help me assist
this evening. The last one was quite an uplifting experience, which is just a
little taste of the full weekend. Also if you could let me know via email or
phone (513-569-2579) if you'll be attending just as a heads up, but if you
forget don't let it hold back from attending.... we'd still love to have you
join in!
Heart of Now Weekend update: August 1-3
After much discussion we have decided keep it on the Weekend of August 2nd
despite 2 other coinciding workshops, the NVC weekend workshop with Jake Gotwals
and a full weekend intro to Permaculture with Peter Bane at Grailville. It turns
out that the other weekends would have limited the amount of facilitators and
assisitants who would be able to attend, which will be traveling everywhere from
Oregon to Washington DC. These people are an integral part of the Heart of Now
Process and will be a huge benefit to all in creating an amazing experience.
Unfortunately postponing the Workshop was not a good option either since I will
be leaving a few weeks later for a year long internship in BioDynamic
Agriculture up in New York. We figured it would be wise to hold it now to allow
the experience to ferment and hopefully nurture future HON Workshops here in the
eastern midwest (they are are already getting established in Iowa, Milwaukee,
the East and West coasts)
during the year I'm gone.
Well.... It seems that The Weekend of August 2nd will be the Wake Up Weekend
for Cincinnati and will raise consciousness by leaps and bounds much to the boon
of all in our fair city, region, and of course this wonderful world!
Well, hope to see y'all Monday, and if not hopefully at one of these amazing
opportunities on the weekend of August 2nd!
until then peace, light, love, and many blessings

Hey Everyone
Hope Y'all are doin well n' stayin' cool, anyways I just wanted to pass along 2
upcoming events that help facilitate the fulfillment of our needs on many
levels:
1. Heart of Now experience night:
Monday 6/23 7- 8:30pm
Where: My house in Northside - please RSVP for directions
2. Full Heart of Now Weekend
Friday-Sunday 8/1-3
Where: Imago in Price Hill
(please reply or call me, Braden, for more info 513-569-2579)
3. What is the Heart of Now??
1. Me and Maggie Sullivan (from Bloomington In.) will be facilitating another
Heart of Now Experience night (which the first one in April was fabulous and
exciting with 30 participants!) which will be coming up on Monday June 23 from
7-8:30 pm at my house in Northside. This evening will be in anticipation of the
full Heart of Now Weekend scheduled for August (see below).
We will ask for a 3$ donation to help with Maggie's travel expenses from
Bloomington.
Please RSVP for Directions
2. We also have a pretty solid date of 8/1-3 to fly in facilitators from Eugene
Or. for a full Heart of Now weekend, which will be the first one in this region.
It should be quite an amazing time for all the participants because
facilitators will hopefully be coming in everywhere from Oregon to Washington DC
to help facilitate this process for us here in Cincy and the Midwest.
Currently we are planning on having it at Imago in Price Hill and tentatively
early registration will be 145$ (approx 3-4 weeks in advance- early July) and
will raise to 175$ thereafter. It will be Friday evening, and all day Saturday &
Sunday. It will include 4 or 5 meals as well.
When info is more solidified I will be sure to pass it along.
Well I'll be passing along more info and an official flyer as it gets more
solidified in the next few weeks.
3. What is the Heart of Now?
Many people describe the Heart of Now as a more emotional NVC process. I
describe it as tapping into the heart and fulfilling its needs both past and
present to create a more fulfilling future filled with joy and empowerment
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me or visit
Heartofnow.org.
Well Thanks for you time and take care
peace & many blessings

I am not able to make it. But i think we need to set another date and
give everyone a good notice before the date at least a week. This has
been an issue in the past, and may be contributing to the small
turnouts. Any other suggestions for dates? How's everyone doin' by

Hey everyone! U may receive this twice. The greenhaus is shuttn down
for the summer and we still have a bunch of plants to put in the
ground. Can anyone help me plant some herbs? I can be available just
about every evening this week. I also need help cleaning up the space
in the greenhouse.
Part of our deal with the VG was that we needed to do 5 hours of
service a month to keep up our plot otherwise we'd have to pay them,
which is not an option.
WE also made back $25 in plant sales.
Village Green also has tons of tomatoes that we are giving away for
donations. Anyone need any?
Hope everyone's gone out to see the medicine wheel! The mullein are 2
feet tall, the baptisia and another purple flower bloomed. The
bergamot will shortly be following. Let's fill in the rest of the space!
Blessings!

I installed analytics on the website, which means we can keep track of what people who visit the website are interested in- ie how much time they spend on each page and what links they click through to. Still preserves peoples anonymity. It's also good if we want to eventually try for a grant or some kind of funding. Just an update for everyone's information.
Hello DHC,
There is some Nicotiana rustica that Jon, Heather and I have grown from seed to
share with
you. The plants are ready to pick up at the Village Green's glass house on
Knowlton St. in
Northside.
I would like to see people step forward this week and get some of the plants to
grow in their
gardens. It's an annual that loves sunshine and good soil. It needs watering
when it gets dry.
All the love and attention you can show this plant is totally worth it.
Nicotiana rustica is the "special tobacco" that many of you may have heard me
talk about. It is
an exceptional narcotic as well as helpful for ritual ceremonial use. Around the
world,
tobacco is way up there in popularity among mind-altering substances but many
people use
the plant to abuse their bodies. I am here to tell you that this need not be the
tone of the
human/tobacco relationship. In fact, if you are or have been a tobacco user, or
have a good
friend who smokes, you're doubly invited to grow some of the blessed herb with
us this
season. Later, we may philosophize over a tobacco blunt at a DHC workshop. Once
you've
tried N. rustica, we'll have a lot to talk about.
Get in touch with Badger at (859) 801-3137, or Heather at (765) 318-9067

I have been meaning to put together some of the information I have come across
in my
PCOS searches for the collective since our discussion, so, here it is. Hope this
is helpful!

~ This is a good overview of PCOS with supplement and herbal recommendations:

dear brook and everyone~

SUBJECT: The local food economy - in becoming a "locavore."
Deborah Jordan and Susan Miller Stigler will introduce the Centeral Ohio Valley River Local Foods Guide. (available May 19th at Findley Market). A panel of distributors of locally grown foods and organic foods in our "food shed" as well as local growers and producers will
offer information on their roles in this rapidly evolving economy. Discussion to follow.
I have moved the date to Saturday May 3 @ 11am because I want to see
Vandana Shiva at 4:00 (Tangeman center @ Uc BTW) Major conflict. This
time could also just be used as a time to plan or help Badger
transplant. Its up to the interest of the group and anyway planting is
all dependent on weather, availability of materials, and # of
participants. However, we do need to move forward since i've got tons
of plants that are waiting outside beside our plot. Can anyone make
this date? Let me know if you have other ideas for activities for that
date.
I will be available wednesday after 4 if anyone would like to meet and
plan beforehand. I'm also planning on collecting some rocks that
evening. Tomorrow does not work for me since I work and then chill
with zoriah.
Has anyone else compiled a resource sheet from a workshop? Any resources you want put on the website? Anyone want to do any Spanish translation? Anyone have any PCOS resources they'd like to share since we're putting that resource sheet together?
Take care,
Brook

Still looking for a spot. Yoga ah is willing, however not handicap

look into Village Green, but space is an issue if it has to be

So far the workshop will be focused on Spring time plants for detox
that can be easily accessible in an urban setting or woods around
here, otherwise known as weeds. She can also go into herbs from
elsewhere. I may or may not talk about honeysuckle and garlic
mustard. Depends on how much time i have to prep. WE can also have
people bring their own jars again. Weather permitting we can all take
a walk in the neighborhood or woods and find some of these plants, if
people desire.
Am I missing anything? Please let me know if there is some other
aspect of this that should be addressed.

She is coming from Yellow Springs.
Brook: Could you fit some of those details into the flyer please.
I could be there at 6:30 pm. Some of the herbs I'm growing for use with
the DHC greater community could use splitting into bigger pots, and I
want to plan the layout of our DHC bed with people.

My friend Amanda from Yellow Springs is interested in putting on this workshop, and others in the future. Is someone else wanting to teach for this? She is possibly available the first weekend in May, Which is coming up way too soon and then is available May 23rd. What days do you all feel are the best to do this? She is also usually available to come down on thursdays, but i wasn't sure if this was the best. Personally it's a great night for me and many folks i know, but i also am aware of people's work schedules. Can i get some feedback?

i wanna come, & Thursdays are amazingly uncomplicated
I got tons of bulk herbs, whatever you need! I can't use them fast
enough, and would like to barter and share with anyone interested.
Most herbs were purchased in january, others back in november. All
herbs are organic and/or wildcrafted...purchased from Mountain Rose
Herbs.
If you know anyone who might be down, send them my way. I'm not asking
for much. More interested in sharing the abundance of resource.

I wanted to send this along because the health collective was part of my motivation for creating this resource. I just finished it last night and wanted to share it with you.
I was creating the nutrition section of the website and wanted to list the farmers markets in the city since they are a great source of fresh, nutritious food even in neighborhoods where grocery stores don't like to set up (think the West End and Avondale, where the grocery is closing). I was also searching for an open market on a certain day of the week last year and found that it was impossible to find that information on the internet. So I did it myself, and this is the product. I hope you all find it useful!
I came across this on work-related blog and thought it would be of interest to Dandelion people. A government-funded reproductive information service has decided to change "abortion" to a "stop word," meaning that it will be excluded from information searches the same way words like "the" and "and" are excluded. Instead, you only find the information using the term "Fertility Control, Postconception," since, you know, that's what people call it.
Hello everyone
I am writing in hopes of finding a person willing to
volunteer their time this saturday from 7 to 9 pm-isto
help with child care during the Heart of Now/
NonViolent Communication Workshop so that it is
accessible to people with children and so that they
can focus their attention on learning. There is a
chance that there might be some money available as
well, but we'll have to see how much in donations
comes in, and how much the facilitator needs.
Anyways please drop me a line via email or phone if
you would be up for this.
peace
