Did I send you this?
Hi everyone: I would like to place another beef order from Fox Hollow Farm in
Ky. This is a farm practicing biodynamic agriculture. Our last order was
about $1200 and I heard from most people. People felt the meat was very good.
There are two new items listed (as requested) – organ meats are $3 lb, and
bones are $2.
My goal here is to have good meat from a known source and to support the folds
in KY. I crossed paths with the farm owner this fall at a biodynamic harvest
festival in Tennesee and as a result of our conversaiton her group is now
serving the Westin A Price Groups in their locality. Please let me know if you
are interested at your earliest convenience. Happy eatin'!

Fox Hollow Farm is located in Crestwood KY, just north of Louisville. The farm
consists of 1300 acres of woodland, waterfalls, creeks and roling fields of lush
grass lands. The land has been cared for for over three generations. The farm
is using biodynamic practices.
The beef is natural grass fed beef. The mission of the arm is to bring health
to the land, the animals and the community. The herd is predominately Black
Angus, which is known for excellent marbeling and taste qualities. The herd is
antibiotic free, hormone free and feeds on the best possible grasses.
Grass finished beef is lower in total fat. For example, a sirloin steak from a
grass-finished beef has about one-third to one-half as much fat as a similar cut
from a grain fed steer. With meat this lean, it lowers your LDL cholesterol
levels.
Although grass fed meat islower in total fat, including saturated fat, it can
have up to twice the level of Omega-3 fatty acids. Of all the fats, Omega-3’s
are the most heart friendly. Omega-3’s are essential for the brain. Another
benefit of Omega-3’s is they may reduce your risk of cancer.
Meat from grass fed animals is also higher in Viatamin E. Meat from pastured
cattle is four times higher in Vitamin E than the number found in feedlot
cattle. ---- dianthadecker <dianthadecker@gmail.com > wrote:
