Dads Grieve Too ...

Kids With Heart National Association for Children's Heart Disorders is an organization whose mission is to raise awareness of congenital heart defects, support those affected, educated individuals and health professionals, and support research for congenital heart defects. In our struggle to find a way to eliminate congenital heart defects, we often meet individuals and families along the way who have lost loved ones. Our grief can feel overwhelming at times...our hearts may feel shattered and broken. We may feel the need to share our grief with others, in a nonjudgemental, open forum. Perhaps we would like to share memories of the one we love who has died. Or maybe we just need reassurance that our tears, our pain, our anger, and any other feeling that we may experience in relation to our grief is okay. We may also need a forum to share our thoughts, experiences and feelings in order to find guidance, direction and/or advice. You are among friends here. It costs nothing to join and we welcome you. Maybe by joining together, we can begin to find assurance that what we are feeling is normal. This group was specially formed for dads who have lost a child to congenital heart disease.
