Elizabeth,
Just a note that once you choose special ed you have a one in a million
chance to go to the regular classroom. Most people will tell you that.
Your child's only chance in an inclusive classroom is to start in
kindergarten. A lot of families repeat either kindergarten or 1st
grade.
I would recommend at least trying the regular classroom.

Thanks Julie. I actually have talked with Jenny and it was a great
help. We
haven't made a decision yet, but we hope to soon! Thanks for replying
though!

Hopefully someone has had some good advice for you. Sorry I can't help.
Griffin
has been included in inclusive classrooms from the very beginning.

I just came from my 5 year old's IEP. They suggested a special
education kindergarten over putting her in general education
kindergarten. She had been in general ed. pre-k for 3 years. I am
not sure if we should keep her in general ed. or put her in a strict
special ed. program. I wondered if other parents have faced this and
if you have suggestions on choosing a special ed. program. Let me
know! Thanks!
