About Special Kids (formerly IPIN) has announced the following trainings:

Article 7/Special Education Law - $35

Monday May 14th - 9:30am to 12:30pm at the ASK Central Office

Overview: This 3 hour training offers basic information about special education laws and regulations for Indiana children ages 3-21. It also introduces recent changes in federal law that will impact Indiana's state regulations. This training is a great opportunity for family members and professionals who advocate for children with a disability or serious chronic illness and is offered on a regular basis.

Preparing Your Child's IEP (Individual Education Program) - $35

Tuesday May 22nd - 6pm to 9pm at the ASK Central Office

Overview: This 3 hour training provides information on how to prepare for a case conference and write an IEP (Individualized Education Program). It is an excellent follow-up to the Article 7 training. Participants must complete the Article 7 training before attending the IEP training.
