An educational and polilitcal group to address issues with medical insurance authorization for the GR/DS (duodenal switch)WLS. We are developing a group network to address insurance denials for DS. We believe that in working together as a group, we will have more clout in addressing these denials. We are specifically targeting Blue Cross, because they recently started denying all DS surgeries. We also hope these efforts will benefit DS denials from other insurance companies, such as Aetna.

*We encourage you to email your ideas and experience with BC (or other companies). Your previous efforts and continuing work to appeal these denials may help us in collectively dealing with this issue. A community voice speaks louder than an individual!
