It doesn't have to be a "formal" meditation. Just stop what you're
doing, move away from the area you were in, sit down, put your hands
in your lap palms up, close your eyes, and let your thoughts,
emotions, attitudes, compulsions, whatever is there -- just fall away
from you.
It's really just a minute of doing nothing. If while you're doing it,
you get caught up in more thoughts or whatever, just go back to the
calm, clear place again. It'll get easier.
I recently made it my goal to do this every single day. I still miss
some days, but it's slowly becoming a habit and I'm getting a
tremendous amount out of doing it. Everything feels better to me, my
days are going smoother, I'm more effficient, less inclined to have
clutter around me, and things are going my way more.
One minute might seem paltry to some people, but for a compulsive
do-er like me, it's made all the difference.
How about making it your goal -- one minute a day? In the calm, clear
place? If any of you foxy immunic agents choose to accept this
assignment, write to the group & tell us what you got from doing it,
and if I have anything further for you, I will write back.
With love,
Your Aunt Keely
