Hello group:
My name is Gordon, and I joined to discuss an issue that I thought you might be
interested in. As you know, a large perentage of neuropathy cases are diagnosed
as
"idiopathic," meaning the cause is unknown.
There is emerging research indicating that the zinc content in most denture
creams is a
cause of severe neuropathy. How do I know this? Am I a health professional? No,
but I am
a lawyer who represents several people who have debilitating neuropathic issues
as a
result of their denture cream use.
This is something that the public needs to become aware of. There are obviously
no
warnings of any kind on the labels of these products, and the companies that
manufacture
those products are most definitely aware of the risks that the zinc content of
those
produts presents.
If you have any questions about these issues, by all means fire away. New
research is
emerging regarding this causal link, and there will definitely be more to come.
Finally, I want to be clear as to who I am and what interest I have in this
issue. Some other
groups have acted quite annoyed by that fact, though I am not entirely sure why.
This is a
public health issue as well as a consumer rights issue. The bottom line is that
people need
to be aware of these issues, and as necessary to discuss it with their doctors.
Thanks!
GWA
