One of the Ingredients in Combetic   Message List

Combetic Family Members:

I have been doing some research on one of the ingredients of Combetic
called Gynostemma Phentaphyllum or Jiao Gu Lan. Here is what I found:

Gynostemma Pentaphyllum, (Jiao Gu Lan) also referred to as a "miracle
grass", is a powerful adaptogenic herb (meaning to help the body
regulate itself) from the cucumber family. This herb grows
traditionally in a mountainous region in South Central China, an area
known for the longevity of its inhabitants and reportedly low rates of
cardiovascular disease and cancer. Moreover, it is used as an
adaptogen because of its unique ability to restore homeostasis to the
body systems which includes blood pressure, reproductive function,
digestive function, immune response, mental function, physical
performance, etc.

Functions:
Jiaogulan is rich in amino acids, antioxidants and minerals. Clinic
studies in humans and animals suggest that Jiaogulan:
• May maintain the cholesterol, triglyceride and other lipoprotein
levels.
• May improve cardiovascular function and lower blood pressure by
decreasing vascular resistance and increasing coronary blood flows.
• Stimulate tissues to revitalize physiological activities and act as
an adaptogenic tonic which may assist in recovery from illness and
fatigue.
• May slow down the aging process.
• Is a powerful antioxidant, protecting the body from free radical
damage.
• May strengthen the immune system to resist diseases.
• Help protect people against radiation damage, reduce the impact of
radiation treatment.
• Assist to improve the quality of sleep.
• Stimulate appetite and help prevent constipation through its
adaptogenic properties.

In the 1970's the Chinese government sponsored a study
focused on the large number of people living to over
100 years old in certain provinces in Southern China.
They discovered the centenarians had one thing in
common. They all drank a tea brewed from a local herb
called Jiaogulan. The locals called the modest
mountain "the immortality herb. "

There is now three decades of research on Jiaogulan
(scientifically known as Gynostemma Pentaphyllum) and
its effects on health. Author Michael Blumert and Dr.
Jialiu Liu even wrote a book about Jiaogulan called,
"Jiaogulan: China's Immortality Herb."

The other 13 ingredients in Combetic also have effective results in
improving health. More on them later.......

Be Blessed,
Rob
