Rob,

Just decided to check out your Combetic Family and answer a little bit
about diet. The diabetic, especially type II diabetic, has problems
with insulin resistance. In order for the body to work correctly the
insulin must get into the cell. Because diabetes is a metabolic
disease it effects your whole body. So, your body may not get the
energy (glucose) it needs into the cell. The cell then is unable to
give the energy to the body. This is one reason why diabetics are so
fatigued. Insulin is the KEY that unlocks the doorway to the cell.
There are several required nutrients needed for this. Chromium is one
of them.
Glucose is the main fuel that drives us. All food eventually
gets to the cellular level. Our brains are especially sensitive to
lack of glucose (hypoglycemia). When our BS is low (below 60 0r 70)
we have symptoms. Some get headaches, shakiness, sweats,
irritability, etc. This is a sign that our brains need food. Eating
simple sugars like sucrose or fructose cause the blood sugar to go up
rapidly and many then have a crash afterwards. It is much better to
eat complex carbohydrates like vegetables. Some call them low
glycemic foods. There are many you can eat and in abundance. Some of
the higher glycemic foods are: anything made with white flour ie
bread, pasta, potatoes, carrots, peas, white rice. If you avoid these
and instead eat brocolli, green beans, brown rice (in moderation),
whole wheat( check the label for # of carbs and stick to those 9 gms
or less),any green leafy vegetables like a large organic spring mix
salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, and top with balsamic
vinegar and extra virgin olive oil, etc.
You should also eat more frequent smaller meals. Eat every 3- 3
1/2 hours.
Can't share it all here, but if you are interested in my services
I can help you individually. Either e-mail me at this e-mail or go
through my web site at www.nuhealth.us Make sure you allow me into
your e-mail as many spam filters will not allow my

I will discuss exercise at a later date.
