All that is interesting to know. :) But I have a more serious problem. I've just lost doctor #2. I am low on test strips and so after months of procrastination about re-visiting this quack, I finally called for an appointment. After all, he had told my husband he would welcome me back if I would sign a waiver about not taking the drugs and why. Well, instead of being welcomed back by the "good" doctor, he started by verbally attacking me and questioning me about my education level. "Why do tests if I was not going to follow his protocol?" Wouldn't I need to know where I am at this stage of my health so that I can take appropriate action? I can't do the tests myself. I don't have my own personal lab. He was also suffering from lack of sleep and very irritable and talked about "freaking out" because I was taking Combetic. "Dr. R, I just came here so I could be cleared to get testing supplies from Optigen Labs delivered to my home. They require that I have seen a doctor within the year before they will accept my application to receive testing supplies. He left the exam room and later one of his staff members came in with the tray to draw vials of blood and I was given a tiny cup to leave a urine sample and they did an EKG. A couple days later one of Dr. R's people called me about my low sodium levels. That I was to get off the Combetic immediately. I told this staff member that I would contact Dr. Khoo about this news and get back to him. Well, this must have caused Dr. R terrific distress and a few days later I received a certified letter that he is giving me 30 days to find another doctor. I have angered the god of "real" medicine and he has banished me. I was told that my sodium level was at 125. Give me feedback. I would like to know what others have to say after reading about me experiences with this last doctor. Have any other Combetic users had their sodium levels come back low? Is this 125 something I should be concerned about? I bought some natural Celtic-sea salt from Tropical Traditions and I've been putting that on my food, but now I don't have a doctor who could tell me if this is helping. The certified letter described my situation as "very dangerous" but he is abandoning me anyway. :) lol. Is there a way for me to know my sodium levels? Thank you so much for helping. Hugs from Florida

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alloxan last paragraph.
Alloxan is also an added ingredient in white flour despite it's known
diabetes connection. See http://www.newstarget.com/008191.html
Alloxan may not be the only way to produce diabetic rats though.
