Yum. I have it every morning. You know, in about 1985 when I was
16, I remember yelling at my dad about eating butter - how bad it
was for him (I was eating margarine, as we were all told to). He
told me it was better for me and that tropical oils were good too.
He is a chemist and always knew better. Anyway..
I put in 2/3 cup of organic whole canned coconut milk
2/3 cup of plain keffir
1 scoop if whey powder (vanilla, but no sugar)
1 packet of stevia
1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
1/2 cup frozen cherries
1/2 of a frozen small banana (a little banana is not going to hurt
you if you are cutting out most other sugars and grains)
Blend it all up - oh my, it is sooo good and keeps me full a long
time. You can add more berries, less, more liquid or less - make a
few to see how you like it. The berries I buy prefrozen at Whole
Foods, but many regualr stores carry the organic brands now.
ALSO - A great coconut ice cream - with ice cream maker, AND the Ben
and Jerrys recipe book - make coconut ice cream, follow recipe
EXCEPT use 18 packets of Stevia (Stevia with FOS) = 1 cup sugar -
it's devine.
