Description

The Cincinnati Biomedical Interventions Support Group was created by parents in the Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area to leverage the experience, knowledge, and support of other families supporting loved ones diagnosed with Autism, Asperger's, PDD-NOS, ADHD, SPD, or any other developmental delay who are currently utilizing or exploring biomedical interventions. Implementing biomedical interventions can be challenging, and support from others can be extremely helpful for better understanding this type of therapy. Meeting announcements, including dates, topics, and related information for the Cincinnati Biomedical Interventions Support Group will be posted here. Helpful notes and pertinent information will be included in the files section when available. Any biomed questions, including ones not related to meeting topics, are welcome.

The Cincinnati Biomedical Interventions Support Group is for sharing information and experiences, learning about biomedical interventions and resources, meeting and supporting others, and it should NOT be used in place of a doctor. The comments, advice, or information exchanged in this support group are the opinion of parents (or other family members) and are not recommendations for treatment. All members should seek medical advice from a doctor, preferably a licensed DAN! (Defeat Autism Now!) practitioner before implementing or changing any treatments. The founders of this group also believe that biomedical interventions should not take the place of behavioral interventions, but rather enhance the results obtained from them.
