Description
This group is meant to provide support for those that suffer the debilitating effects of this disease as well as their caregivers. It is open to all who wish to gain knowledge, as well as support from a caring and giving "family".
It's sad that we are brought together with this disease as our "common bond", but it is wonderful that we are meeting! "Each Friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born." (Anais Nin) Now we can share our knowlege of this terrible disease and the different ways that we each have learned to cope with it. We can help each other to understand the ins and outs of the disease, how best to help ourselves and each other to get through attacks and trips to ER's and Doctors that sometimes don't seem to have our best interests at heart.
Through the message boards and Chat groups, we can hold each others hands when we just don't feel like we can do this one more day and share in the triumph when we finally find those good doctors that understand that we aren't making the pain up, and that we need help. We can vent to each other when someone tells us how "good" we look, or perhaps says we might be addicted as opposed to clinically dependant. Who better to support someone with a disease like Chronic Pancreatitis, than someone that shares the disease?
Flaming or libel of any kind to Our "Family Members" will not be tolerated. This is a "Support Forum", if you feel the need to post negatively or offensively to someone, please take it OFF the board. Feel free to post often, ask questions, support, whine, gripe, or just plain complain. We hope to help as well as educate anyone wishing to learn more about Chronic Pancreatitis as well as many other debilitating chronic pain conditions.
Again Welcome to our group!!
