Greetings,
I am forwarding this link to the Disability Convention list as well as other groups, because there is growing global attention to this Bill debate right now before U.S. Congress. The impact on the disability community may be great because as projected there could be an explosion of costs for those most likely to have them. This is just one view of course but for this present post-er (an AAPD member impressed with their Justice For all All posts) it is persuasive and there could be a broad leveling due to generalizations not appropriate to those with greater coverage needs.
I thought you might want a link to the Bill itself to make your own assessment, and we can feed back to one another as to impact on persons with disabilities generally or specifically. If you receive CSPAN you can follow the debate and possible imminent vote.
Also of interest here is the process. The Bill was apparently made available 1:30 am today (do I have that rite?) and may be voted on soon. There is a good deal going concerning the short time to read and digest and comment on the text (and the ideas) and the possible exclusion of congressional members (representing The People) from being present at key hearings.
Cordially, in the spirit of *inclusion at Every Phase* and *Nothing About Us Without Us*,
:) LDMF.
