Dear Webhost-
I was browsing the groups on google and noticed that you had some responses to
some
of the messages. My mother passed away from cancer as well, almost 10 years
ago. The
reason I am writing is because I am collecting information for my masters
thesis. I'm
focusing on parent's experiences when their child has been diagnosed with
cancer.
Perhaps focusing on mothers with cancer would have been too painful.
Anyway, I have copied and pasted the information on my study in this e-mail,
along with
the link where participants can go directly to psychdata. Once there, mothers
or fathers of
children with cancer will be asked a bunch of questions about their experiences.
I think
this is a good way to allow them to express their experiences, while
contributing to a
source of knowledge that may benefit other parents of children with cancer.
This study means a lot to me and I hope that you will find it useful, as well
as other
parents. Please pass it along to all the parents of children with cancer that
you know and
if you can, post it on your site.
I appreciate all that you've done to reach out to these families and I hope
that my study
can be a way to do so as well.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Chai Benson

of a parent
during this time.

Researchers are looking for persons who meet all of the following criteria:

á Currently a mother or father of a child between the ages of 3 and 12 with a
