Just a friendly reminder for those of you who live in the LA County
area:

There are currently two (2) ongoing social groups for pos heteros in,
and around,
Los Angeles that need your participation!
As many of you know, we are trying to create a stronger sense of
community for local
straight folks. We have had some great social events during the past
year, and we
want to do more. But we can't do it alone!

Please come out and support these groups and their facilitators. It's
a
chance to
meet other straight folks, have some fun, and keep up with what's
going
on in our
community.

#1 The Valley + Club (Shelley's group) meets every Thursday evening
in
Sherman Oaks
at 6:30pm. Her group has planned some great activities like dinners,
outings, and
other cool stuff. Shelley's group is peer-run, and is supported in
part
by Being
Alive Los Angeles. For information and directions to the Valley +

#2 The Long Beach Social Group (facilitated by Martell) "Straight
From
The
Heart" meets the last Wednesday of every month for fun and activities
at Being
Alive Long Beach. The next group is Wednesday August 25th from 6:30pm
to 9:00pm.
This month is movie night. Come enjoy catered food, popcorn, and
relax
after a hard
days work. There is a big screen TV and sofas to lounge on. Plus, we
have a wide
array of very recent movie titles to choose from, and we will take a
group consensus
on what to watch when everyone gets here. If you are interested in
attending, please
call Martell or Cathy at 562-436-9722 x17. Being Alive Long Beach is
a
community-based
organization, run by people living with HIV.

Please note, You can be completely anonymous at both of these groups
if
you so desire.
We just want you to show up.
