New CommunityDirect Program Benefits Local Agencies
This year AFC is introducing CommunityDirect, a new program designed
to directly benefit local AIDS organizations. Groups that are
members of AFC's Service Providers Council (SPC) and that form teams
for AIDS Run & Walk can participate in CommunityDirect and receive
50% of the pledge money their teams raise. The other half of the
pledge funds will support prevention, care, and advocacy services
throughout the Chicago area. For more information about this
exciting new program and for a listing of CommunityDirect teams, go
to the Run & Walk tab at www.aidschicago.org.
AIDS Health Expo
An AIDS Health Expo will again be at the event where runners and
walkers can learn about local AIDS service organizations.
Organizations interested in participating in the AIDS Health Expo
should complete and return the registration form available by
download at www.aidschicago.org. Tables are free for groups that form
teams to run and walk. Space is limited and on a first-come-first-
serve basis.
