I was going with the clinical definition of addiction the Psy explained to me.
According to that definition, if you are taking something everyday and when you stop, you experience withdrawal, you are not addicted. I forgot what he called that. If you are taking something everyday and you require greater and greater amounts as you continue usage, you are addicted. Per Psy, Ritalin is addictive by the definition above.
But I don't agree with your "if something is good, it should be good for everyone" idea for obvious reasons.
Yes, it is a powerful drug. But, if you feel like you need take something to be able to handle your life, then you do what you need to do. If you don't feel like you need to take anything, then you don't.
