Dry mouth is not a very serious side-effect. It's not even the same
thing as dehydration.
You can buy a mouth moisturizer at the pharmacy, kind of a
"pseudo-spit." Lots of drugs have this side effect and you don't need
to be too worried. Ask the pharmacist for other ideas. It could also
be something else you are taking, or just anxiety too.
I don't know what "feeling addicted" means. If it is just that you
take something consistently, it is probably not a big problem, right?
If you take B vitamins everyday, are you addicted to those?
If you take the medication only every few days that is likely the
only times when you will get the benefit. Your body adjusts better if
you take it every day as directed. But ask your doctor for the
official scoop. That's why they are the doctors, not us.
