I checked to see if his name was on our insurance plan and he isn't. We only have 80 or so names that are in this state! It's a horrible mental health plan! I wish that I could go under our medical plan b/c it's wonderful....so many people covered it amazes me! Do you know if he is willing to add insurance plans? How much experience does he have with working with adults with ADHD or ADD and other learning disabilities? What is he like? I saw a previous psych once in Oakbrook-Dr Benezra and he scared the sh%^ out of me...I literally ran out of his office to my car on the other side of the Oakbrook mall. He wouldn't give me back my records after I demanded them back and I hda to literally repeat everything I said to him over and over and he took phone calls about a stupid watch repair during my appointment w/o appologizing...just completely forgetting that I was there. Then he brought my mom in and tried to convince her that I was seriously mentally ill and needed to be in a hospital b/c I was mad at him for taking a phone call during my appointment that lasted 10 minutes! He starred right through me when I asked him for my records back and it was soooo creapy! I almost changed my cell phone number and home number b/c I was afraid he was going to call me again. Anyway, now that I have rambled....

 

Awesome! North Central is suppose to be extremely good. My grandmother lives two blocks away from NC. My chemistry professor last year transfered there and is now teaching there. The counseling department there is very small and okay. Haven't had much luck there....The psychologist on campus knew none of the psychiatrists that were on my plan, figures right? Neither does my psychologist!

 

Well, I have to go and get ready for work! Thanks for your help! I'll keep the name and give him a call and see if he will add my plan or if I can get around it somehow! Would another type of MD treat ADHD too? Manage medications? What about a Neurologist?
