I'm out in California, merely lurking on your group. Which kind of
makes my point.
In an e-mail group you don't really know who you are dealing with. In
the e-mail group that we have out here for partners of those with
ADHD it sometimes seems that the group is scammed by someone
inventing their whole story. In one case, a person became belligerent
and kept picking fights with me, threatening to "report me" for
insulting her and so on. Very odd.
Also, some spouses have "snooped on the group" in a way they never
could, face-to-face. You never really know "who is in the room." It
impacts people's confidence around discussing really touchy stuff.
If you do an e-mail group, I suggest having some way to know who the
people are who join in.
