Dr. Ned Hallowell, co-author of “Driven to Distraction” is scheduled to speak in Chicago on Monday, May 3, 2004. He is to deliver the Sixth Annual Francine C. Rosenberg Memorial Lecture at the Francis W. Parker School at 330 W Webster in Chicago. The talk is scheduled for 7:30pm. I don’t have any details – topic, open to the public or not, cost, etc. I will send along additional information as I get it.
The Francine C. Rosenberg Memorial Lecture Series is dedicated to exposing Parker and the extended community to innovative views, philosophies and teachings relevant to the education of our children and how we live our lives. The Lecture Series also strives to promote Francis W. Parker School as a local and national center of progressive education and learning.
Dr. Hallowell spoke at Northwestern University in November of 2001 and at the ADDA Conference in Chicago in May of 2002. He is an excellent speaker and all around good guy. Mark the date, May 3, on your calendar. You can get more information about Dr. Hallowell at his website:
