Learn About your Child's AD/HD
Education, treatment options, and coping skills for Parents of
children with AD/HD

Tuesday evenings 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Beginning this fall, we will offer a parents group that focuses on
addressing the symptoms of AD/HD; it's emotional impact, treatment
options, improving
social skills (friendships & family), academic preparation,
highlighting
individual strengths, and co-morbid conditions. We will help foster
optimism and hope in a structured environment, allowing for open
discussion of feelings and ideas.
The goal is to increase knowledge, family support, and provide
tools for success before the school year becomes a problem.
Topics Include:Education to help members better understand the
condition
Understanding & Acceptance of the diagnosis
Treatment Options/Support/Coaching
Medication
Navigating School Processes and accommodations
Assessment of strengths/Acknowledgment of limitations
Social skills/Socialization/Organizational skills
Exercise/Nutrition/Supplementation
Co-Morbid conditions
This group is presented by Insight EAP LLC and will be facilitated
by Licensed Social Worker, Alexandra DeWoskin, MSW, LSW.
